rubenshuis.be | Wapper

The museum dedicated to the life and works of Antwerp's most famous artist. It can get busy during peak summer months so we would recommend getting there early or late. Their free audio guide is excellent, but we'd suggest taking your own headphones.

Cathedral of Our Lady

dekathedraal.be | Groenplaats

Housing some of Ruben's most famous works, Onze Lieve Vrouwekathedraal is one of the most spectacular examples of gothic architecture in Northern Europe. Rising to over 120 metres, it is visible from much of the city centre so you'll have no trouble finding it!

Castle Het Steen

Castle Het Steen | Hetsteen

Situated in a commanding position on the banks of the river Schelde. Though Castle Het Steen is small in comparison to many contemporaries, it formed the axis of the cities defences. It now houses the naval museum which has some fascinating exhibits of Antwerp's maritime history.

Antwerp ZOO

Our Zoo is one of the world's oldest but still one of the best. It's home to over 4,000 animals and certainly worth a visit.
